We look forward to having you join us for the 3rd annual Johnny Ray Memorial Fall High School Classic tournament this weekend.
Teams will play 2 pool games between Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4. On Saturday at 1 pm, there will be a special ceremony honoring Johnny Ray that all teams are asked to participate in. Teams will play their 3rd pool game on Sunday afterwhich the top 2 teams will advance to the championship game.
All teams will play a minimum of 3 pool games. It is necessary to limit the playoffs to one game to avoid any restrictions set forth by the CHSAA. The top 2 teams will advance to the championship game, as determined by the following tiebreaker guidelines:
- Most points (3 for a win, 1 for a tie)
- Fewest runs allowed (total of all pool games)
- Highest run differential (total of all pool games)
- Fewest runs allowed (any single pool play game)
- Head to head
- Coin flip
We ask that you please submit your $400 registration fee and tournament tee shirt money now if you haven't already done so. Please send your check made out to the "Johnny Ray Foundation" to 98 Tanglewood Drive, Staten Island, NY 10308.
