Richmond County Baseball in Staten Island, NY is pleased to announce that we will be one of only 3 sites nationally hosting a 2020 Marucci World Series qualifying tournament this fall (August 30-September 2).
The Marucci World Series is one of the most anticipated and exciting events each summer. Hosted by Marucci Sports, the #1 bat in MLB, the event takes place in July in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and features an opening ceremony at LSU's Alex Box Stadium with a fastest man competition, home run derby and cajun cookout. Tournament play follows at venues such as LSU, Tulane, Southeastern Louisiana University and other great facilities in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area.
Historically, the invite-only Marucci World Series has only been available to organizations that are members of the Marucci Founders Club. This unique opportunity is now available to other organizations who meet certain eligibility criteria. To receive an invitation for 2020, teams must:
- Win one of the Marucci World Series Qualifier Tournaments, AND
- Agree to join the Marucci "Honor The Game" (HTG) program where they will receive special access to Marucci apparel, equipment and events.
